Probataion Arrest Made in Steubenville Football Rape Case

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio (AP) – A volunteer football coach whose house in Ohio was the scene of a party that preceded the rape of a girl by two high school football players has been arrested on a probation violation.

Attorney general spokesman Dan Tierney says Matt Belardine was arrested in Ohio on Thursday.

This comes after media reports say Belardine was arrested last month in Arizona at a protest related to the grand jury decision in the Ferguson, Missouri police shooting.

Authorities in Scottsdale, Arizona, said Belardine was fighting with protesters.

A message was left with Belardine's attorney seeking comment.

Belardine pleaded no contest in April to making a false a statement and enabling underage drinking that were related to the football players' rape case in Steubenville.
