FORT WAYNE, IND. (WOWO) Fort Wayne police are investigating a serious three-vehicle crash that left four people injured, including two juveniles in critical condition, after a collision at Hobson Road and Vance Avenue Monday evening.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:19 p.m. on June 15, 2026, according to the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD).
Crash investigation at Hobson Road and Vance Avenue
Officers responding to the scene located three heavily damaged vehicles in the intersection, including one vehicle that had overturned and came to rest on its top.
Preliminary findings from FWPD indicate that a vehicle traveling eastbound on Vance Avenue disregarded a red traffic signal and struck a vehicle traveling northbound on Hobson Road. That impact then caused a secondary collision involving a third vehicle that was stopped at the traffic light.
Police have not released the identities of those involved.
Injuries and medical response
FWPD confirmed that four individuals were transported to a local hospital following the crash. Among the injured are two juveniles.
Authorities say one juvenile is in life-threatening condition and another is in critical condition. The remaining two injured individuals were also taken for treatment; their conditions have not been publicly detailed.
