Schools Chief Ritz gets Ovation at Pence Speech

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Embattled Indiana schools Superintendent Glenda Ritz received a standing ovation during Republican Gov. Mike Pence's second State of the State address. Pence thanked Ritz and members of the State Board of Education last night for their work to improve the state's schools. Ritz is the lone Democrat in the Pence administration.
