Shelter Responds to Gang Threats

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A local shelter is improving security after suspected gang activity.

Officials with the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission say staff members have been threatened.

In related incidents, a resident was attacked and an elderly man was beaten on his way to work was also beaten.

According to our partners in news at 21Alive, the mission will purchase security cameras, lighting and alarm systems.

They are also adopting a zero tolerance for gang related activity at the shelter.
