Shipshewana Town Marshal Turns Himself In On Felony Charge

SHIPSHEWANA, Ind. (WOWO) — Shipshewana Town Marshal Juan Carlos Jasso, 49, turned himself in to the LaGrange County Jail yesterday after a felony warrant was issued following an investigation into an alleged domestic incident.

Indiana State Police said they were first contacted in May 2025 regarding an alleged domestic battery involving Jasso. After completing their investigation, the findings were forwarded to the LaGrange County Prosecutor’s Office.

Because Jasso is a law enforcement officer in LaGrange County, the case was referred to a special prosecutor for review. Following that review, authorities issued a warrant charging Jasso with felony intimidation.

No further details about the alleged incident have been released. The case remains under.
