FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Bus drivers for Fort Wayne Community Schools will be getting a little more on their paychecks soon.

The school board approved a new contract with its drivers last night, according to the Journal Gazette, giving drivers a 1% pay raise for the next two school years. The contract will affect around 200 drivers and also lets Superintendent Wendy Robinson determine stipends for the duration of the contract.

The board also approved plans to let land near Northrop High School become part of the Pufferbelly Trail through an easement granted to the city of Fort Wayne that also includes part of the North Transportation Center’s property.
