Smoke Covered Skies

FORT WAYNE, Ind (WOWO): The sun is covered up today, but not by clouds.  Smoke blowing in from a forest fire in Saskatchewan has blanketed our skies.

Meteorologist Chris Daniels from 21 Alive explains that a wind field coming in from the north west has covered our sky with smoke.  “Well they're not clouds at all, it's actually smoke from a large forest fire way up in the province of Saskatchewan.”

Daniels states that it resulted in a “gorgeous sunrise this morning.”  He said it may seem rare, but this does happen with forest fires, even though we're far away from the province.
