Steuben County Sheriff’s Office appoints new patrol deputy

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): The Steuben County has a new patrol deputy.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office announced a new patrol deputy. Nicholas M. Ruby will immediately begin training and then will be assigned to a regular patrol shift in Steuben County.

Ruby graduated from Bishop Chatard High School in Indianapolis. He also received a bachelor degree in criminal justice and psychology from Trine University in the spring of 2016.

He was a reserve police officer for the Angola Police Department and graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.

Ruby is replacing a deputy who recently resigned to take another position.
