The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in findong a non-compliant registered sex offender.  An arrest warrant was issued on Friday, charging 53 year old Ted J. Benhower with class C felony failure to register as a sex or violent offender.   The Sheriff’s Department received a tp from a citizen that Benhower was not living at his registered address.  Detectives began investigating and were able to gather sufficient information to indicate that Benhower was in violation of Indiana’s Sex or Violent Offender Registry law.  Benhower is described as a white male, 5’8” and weighs approximately 160 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.  Benhower was last known to have a facial hair.  Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Benhower is asked to contact the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office or Steuben County Crime Stoppers.
