Suspected Heroin Overdoses Kill Three in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne police are asking for the public's help after three people died in less than 24 hours from suspected heroin overdoses.

All three deaths occurred in the northwest-central area of Fort Wayne. A press release from the Fort Wayne Police Department says the potency of the heroin being sold on the streets will almost require immediate medical attention if someone injects it.

Officers are also recommending that you check on the well-being of a family member or friend that is a known IV drug user to make sure they are ok as well as to inform them of the risk of injecting this lethal batch of heroin.

Anyone with information on this lethal heroin is asked to call police immediately. The Fort Wayne Police Department says it could save the life of a loved one as well as help remove this from Fort Wayne streets.
