Texas Woman Killed In Indiana Toll Road Crash

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) — Indiana State Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash involving a commercial box truck late Monday night on the Indiana Toll Road.

The crash occurred shortly before 11 p.m. on January 5, 2026, near the 120-mile marker in Lagrange County. Police said the westbound box truck, occupied by two people, left the roadway for unknown reasons, entered the grassy median, overturned, and came to rest on its roof.

The driver, identified as Neda Meketa, 45, of Haslet, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed her family has been notified.

A male passenger in the vehicle was transported to Parkview Lagrange Hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators said drugs and alcohol are not suspected to be factors in the crash. The incident remains under investigation by the Indiana State Police Critical Incident Reconstruction Team, and no further details have been released.

Assisting agencies included the Lagrange County Sheriff’s Department, Lagrange City Police Department, Parkview EMS, Howe Fire Department, RMS Environmental, and the Lagrange County Coroner’s Office.
