Three People Cited for Illegally Snagging Trout

MISHAWAKA, Ind. (WOWO): Tuesday night, Indiana Conservation Officers cited three people for illegally snagging trout in the Saint Joseph River.

24-year-old Brian Nelson of Mishawaka, 34-year-old James Stephenson of South Bend, and 19-year-old Dylan Marvel of South Bend, were cited and released for snagging Steelhead Trout after officers witnessed each of them separately dragging a hook trough the water trying to snag fish.

The three face misdemeanor charges pending review by the Saint Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office.
