Three People Injured After Sunday Night Crash in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Two people are in critical condition, one in serious condition after a crash on Runnion Avenue Sunday night. Around 8:45 P.M., Fort Wayne Police were called to the crash scene near Howell Street. Early investigation shows that a vehicle was going north on Runnion at a fast speed when the driver lost control around the railroad tracks just north of Wheeler Street. The vehicle started to roll, clipping a utility pole, and finally coming to a rest at Runnion and Howell. One of the occupants of the vehicle was ejected, while the other two, the driver and front seat passenger, remained inside.  All three were taken to a local hospital. Vehicle speed and alcohol appear to be contributing factors to this accident, which remains under investigation.
