Three teens caught breaking into Angola storage units

Braxton Easton (L) and Stephani Hartley (R)

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO):  A pair of Fremont teens have been caught trying to steal from storage units.

On Thanksgiving morning around 1 a.m., the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office got a call after they say people walking around with bolt cutters around the Corner 200 Storage Units near CR 200 W and CR 200 N, just north of Angola.

Officers found the suspects and found a white pickup truck parked between unites with items in the truck bed.  They also saw several storage units with cut padlocks.

After police started to check on one of the unsecured, a male suspect was found leaving one of the units and indicated he was with two more people on the property.  They were soon found inside a nearby storage unit.

Police have taken Braxton Easton, 19, and Stephani Hartley, 18, both of Fremont into custody.  The third person was a minor, so the 17 year old juvenile’s name was not released.  The two suspects were taken to the Steuben County Jail on 12 counts of burglary, while the juvenile was taken to a detention facility.

When searching the grounds, police determined 12 unties were burglarized.
