Tip Leads to Heroin Bust in Warsaw

WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): Warsaw Police pulled over a vehicle on South Detroit Street around 2:00 Monday afternoon after getting an anonymous tip that the occupants were taking Heroin to sell in Kosciusko and Wabash counties. A police canine alerted police to illegal drugs and eighteen individual bags of Heroin, weighing approximately eight grams, on 24-year-old Meagan Martens, of Wabash. Martens was taken into custody and booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on a class B felony charge of dealing in a schedule I controlled substance and possession of a schedule I controlled substance. The woman’s boyfriend, 26-year-old Douglas Jordan, also of Wabash, was booked for dealing in a schedule I controlled substance, a class B felony. They were held without bond. Narcotics officers indicate that the two were significant suppliers of Heroin in the two counties.
