Toledo Makes Pitch to Fiat Chrysler to Keep Jeep Wrangler

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP): Toledo officials have made their pitch to keep Jeep Wrangler production in the northwestern Ohio city.

City leaders delivered an incentives package to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles executives on Friday.

Fiat Chrysler is considering moving the Wrangler assembly line out of Toledo so it can be made with an aluminum body. But the head of the company has said he's committed to keeping the same number of jobs in Toledo.

Union leaders say they're worried because Wrangler is one of the company's best-selling vehicles.

Toledo leaders aren't releasing details about what it will offer to Fiat Chrysler.

Fiat Chrysler's CEO has said that the challenges of keeping the Wrangler in Toledo include the current design of the plant and the cost of reconfiguring it.
