ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A New Haven man charged with murder in the death of his mother will stand trial in September.

Chad Ingram, 43, is set for his murder trial from Sept. 11-14, according to the News-Sentinel.

New Haven Police found the body of Heidi Colley, 61, in her home in the 1600 block of Sherbrook Drive. Ingram was inside the home when police arrived. Police say he was drinking liquor straight from the bottle and too drunk to be interviewed.

Ingram was initially charged with two counts of domestic battery before that was changed to murder.
