FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne home was badly damaged in an early-morning house fire today.

Firefighters were called to a home on Torch Lake Drive, south of Covington Lake, at about 6:15am. When they arrived they found fire coming out of the rear and roof of the home; a fire was in the attic and had spread to the walls.

An adult and a teenager were able to safely get out of the house before firefighters arrived.

It took about 40 minutes to bring the blaze under control. Nobody was hurt, and the fire remains under investigation.

Its cause is unknown.
