BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) – Authorities say two contractors working for Duke Energy have been seriously injured after coming into contact with a high-voltage power line near Bloomington.
 
Monroe County Chief Sheriff's Deputy Mike Pershing says one man suffered a “severe shock” and was flown by helicopter to Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis. The second man was admitted to the intensive care unit of IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
 
Sgt. Nathan Peach tells The Herald-Times that the two men, employed by Michigan-based Hydaker-Wheatlake Co., were working in the extended bucket of a truck in a wooded area at the time Monday afternoon.
 
 
Hydaker-Wheatlake spokesman Bret Wheatlake declined to release the names of the injured men.
