UPDATE: Barricade Situation on Esmond Resolved

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Police units were called to Esmond Street Thursday morning around 1:30 A.M. on a report of a domestic disturbance. When officers got to the scene, they learned that 27-year-old gin Davis had shown up at the home and confronted his ex-girlfriend. The woman had a “no contact” order resulting from a previous domestic incident involving the two. Officers learned that Davis had threatened to shoot the woman and any officer that tried to go in the home. After about an hour of unsuccessfully resolving the standoff, crisis teams were called. Before they got there, the woman was able to escape the home safely. After emergency teams couldn't make contact with the man, tear gas was deployed into the home and then a robot was sent in. Shortly after, Davis surrendered. No gun was found, and no one was injured.
