WELLS COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): During his initial hearing in Wells County Court at 8:30 Wednesday morning, 31-year-old Zachary Barnes pleaded guilty to a Murder charge filed against him by the State of Indiana.

Barnes was charged for his involvement in the death of his girlfriend's 3-year-old son, Owen Collins, whose body was found earlier this year in a box that had been burned. In May, the Wells County Coroner ruled Collins' death to be a homicide.

Sentencing for Barnes is scheduled for August 6th. Charges are still pending against Collins' mother, Breanna Arnold, and a juvenile who's also connected to the case.
