UPDATE: Police Arrest Young Kids for Waterloo Playground Fire

WATERLOO, Ind. (WOWO): Authorities have detained three boys who are accused of setting a Waterloo play structure on fire late Sunday afternoon.

The Waterloo Fire Department arrived at the Thomson Memorial Park late Sunday afternoon after someone saw the smoke.  Fire officials said it took about an hour to control the blaze due to high winds.

Two 11-year-olds and one 12-year-old are said to have started the fire and couldn't keep it under control. Jay Oberholtzer, Waterloo Town Marshal told WOWO News the young males are said to be responsible.

No injuries were reported, but much of the wooden play structure was damaged.
