FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Utility work is underway on a stretch of roadway just north of downtown and the construction could impact your commute.

City officials say crews are installing a water main on State Boulevard. That project will detour traffic between Clinton and Wells Street for at least two weeks.

The pipe will help improve reliability for neighborhoods north of downtown. The 30-inch water feeder pipe spans 7,000 feet total and will be completed by July.
