Valparaiso Man Gets 10 Years for Molesting Baby

VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP) _ A 22-year-old Michigan City man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to molesting an 11-month-old girl.

The Times of Munster reports Porter County Superior Court Judge Roger Bradford on Monday also ordered that James Glanders be designated a sexually violent predator. That means he will have to register for life as a sex offender.

He also will have to serve six days for each day he receives off his prison term for good time, as compared to day-for-day credit offered to other offenders.

Glanders was accused of molesting the girl in 2013 during a diaper change in a vehicle parked at a park in South Haven.

He will serve eight years on formal probation after being released from prison.
