WABASH, Ind. (WOWO): A Wabash man is accused of depriving more than $13,000 in income from a Carquest Auto Parts Store.

Christopher Hawkins, 25 of Wabash, was arrested Monday afternoon by an Indiana State Police trooper after he was served a warrant for felony theft and corrupt business influence.

Police received a tip last September that Hawkins, a manager, was taking income from the store. The investigation revealed he allegedly discounted parts for himself for purchase and discounted parts to sell to customers at least 262 times. Police also say Hawkins also zeroed what he owed his store accounts and had parts shipped to his home on Carquest’s dime.

He allegedly deprived Carquest a total of $13,701.43 in income.

Hawkins is held in the Wabash County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
