Weather Service Says 7 Tornadoes Hit Indiana

GRAVELTON, Ind. (AP) _ The National Weather Service has confirmed another tornado touched down in northern Indiana earlier this week, bringing the number to seven.
 
The weather service said the latest confirmed tornado touched down Tuesday in the Kosciusko County town of Gravelton, 35 miles southeast of South Bend. The weather service says it was an EF-1 tornado on the ground for two minutes and traveled a little more than a half mile, damaging a barn and knocking down or snapping about 20 trees, one into a home.
 
Two other tornadoes touched down in Kosciusko County, two in Marshall County and one each in LaGrange and Whitey County. One EF-1 tornado started in Wabash County and traveled into Kosciusko County.
