Zimmer, Biomet Merger Stalled

WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): A merger of Warsaw-based orthopedics companies Zimmer and Biomet has hit a snag.

The European Commission declared that the $13 billion dollar deal is incomplete and needs more information before they can approve the plan internationally.

According to Inside Indiana Business, Zimmer says they will make the required updates soon.

The company says they expect the acquisition to be finalized by early 2015.
