FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A 10-year old boy was struck by train late Sunday afternoon in Fort Wayne.

It happened around 5:15 p.m., east of downtown on McDonald Street.

Two boys were playing on the train tracks just moments before. Authorities say the train ran over the boy's leg. He tried to leap onto a railroad car, but slipped and landed on the track. As of right now his condition is unknown.
