FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Two people were critically injured after an intense three-vehicle crash on Lima Road just south of Northbrook Blvd Tuesday afternoon.

The Fort Wayne Police Department was called to the scene just past 12:30pm to find a pickup truck overturned and sitting on its top.

Apparently the truck had been northbound on Lima when it was hit from behind by a northbound SUV, which catapulted the truck into the southbound lanes where it collided head-on with another SUV.

Neither of the SUV drivers was hurt, but two people in the truck – one male, one female – were badly hurt and taken to an area hospital.

The crash is under investigation.
