FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): An 18-year-old man was sentenced for giving false information to police about a fatal shooting and robbery that happened in 2015.

Vicxon Gray was given 2-and-a-half years probation after pleading guilty to assisting a criminal as part of a plea deal with prosecutors that saw murder and robbery charges dropped in the July 2015 death of Marvin Palmer III.

The Journal Gazette reports he admitted to misleading police as they investigated two other men involved in the death.

Gray’s not off the hook completely, however; he’s already serving three years in prison on a robbery he was convicted of last week.
