2 Children Rescued from River in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP): Authorities say two children were rescued from the St. Joseph River in South Bend by people who saw them struggling in the water. Fire Department officials say the children were swimming in the river near the city's downtown yesterday when they tried to swim back but couldn't fight the current. The rescue happened near where a woman fell into the river and died last week.
