Miami Nation Vice Chief Faces Drug Charges

PERU, Ind. (AP) – A vice chief of the Miami Nation of Indiana is facing of marijuana and methamphetamine possession.
 
The Peru Tribune reports 51-year-old John Dunnagan of Denver was arrested Thursday night by Indiana State Police following a six-month investigation. He is charged with possession of marijuana more than 30 grams, maintaining a common nuisance and cultivating marijuana more than 30 grams, all class D felonies. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of possession of methamphetamine less than 3 grams.
 
He was released on $20,000 bond. A call to his house seeking comment rang unanswered Friday evening.
 
If convicted of all charges, Dunnagan faces a maximum 10 years in prison.
