2nd Grader Left Alone Inside Anderson School

MADISON COUNTY, Ind (WOWO):  A second-grader says he woke up alone inside his school, hours after dismissal. He then called 911 for help.

It happened Tuesday afternoon when he was left alone in a room Tuesday afternoon at Valley Grove Elementary School. He had been sent to the office for misbehaving.  The second-grader was then left behind when school administrators went home around 4:00 p.m.

The boy says no one was around when he woke up and waited a while before calling police. He was found safe around 6:30 p.m. after his mother says she had also gone to the school looking for him.

District Superintendent says the circumstances are being reviewed.
