ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – A series of workshops offered by the Allen County 4-H will begin this spring with dog obedience training.  The program is offered to kids in grades 3-12.

Attendees to the workshop will learn how to train their family dog to be more obedient.  Students will learn how to teach their dogs to sit, stay, heel on a leash, stand for examination and more.  They will also learn about health, care and grooming of their dog.

The cost of the dog obedience workshop is $65 and is 16 weeks long.  Classes will be held on Monday evenings in the Home Loan Bank Building at the Allen County Fairgrounds, located at 2726 Carroll Road, Fort Wayne beginning in March.  Everyone planning to attend the workshop needs to preregister, pay fee and complete their paperwork by February 22. Class size is limited and dogs are asked to be at least four months old.
