Seven veteran Fort Wayne firefighters promoted to engine house leaders

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Seven veteran Fort Wayne firefighters moved up the ladder Monday when they were promoted to the rank of lieutenant.

The seven firefighters will rotate through all three shifts at Fort Wayne’s busiest engine houses during the probationary next year, according to our news partners at 21Alive. When the year is over, they will be each be assigned to one shift and serve as supervising firefighters.

FWFD said their new assignments start this week.

The seven firefighters that were promoted are:

Brandon Bainter, 9-year veteran
Jimmy Creech, 13-year veteran
Steve MacDonald, 15-year veteran
Robert Roy, 16-year veteran
Benjamin Singleton, 13-year veteran
Bryan Steward, 14-year veteran
