Cyclist Struck By Vehicle Northeast Of Downtown Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a traffic accident involving a cyclist northeast of downtown.

Police say the crash happened around 8:50 a.m. near the intersection of Tennessee Avenue and Saint Joseph Boulevard.

According to officers, the man riding the bike was traveling East on Tennessee and the vehicle was traveling North on St. Joseph when they collided.

The cyclist was treated and taken to a local hospital in non life-threatening condition.

The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with officers during their investigation.

The intersection was briefly closed and has since been re-opened.
