FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — President Trump announced the approval, expressing confidence in state leadership.

Governor Mike Braun and other lawmakers thanked the federal government for the funds, which will aid rebuilding efforts.

Braun recently launched an Emergency Alert Task Force to improve Indiana’s weather and emergency alert systems, especially for tornado warnings, following the declaration of a state of emergency in 35 storm-affected counties.
