Juvenile Drowns in Cedar Lake

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a drowning yesterday evening. It happened at the Howe School Summer Camp, a camp for boys ages 9 to 15, in LaGrange County. Conservation offices say a 15-year-old boy was participating in “free swimming,” in Cedar Lake and was noticed to be missing. Staff and the on-duty lifeguard searched and located the victim in roughly 8 feet of water. CPR was administered, but the victim was declared deceased by hospital staff.
