Fort Wayne Businesses Close During “ICE Out” Protests

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Several Fort Wayne businesses closed on Friday during the “ICE Out” day of action with protestors.

Protests come after the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti who were shot and killed during encounters with immigration agents in Minneapolis.

Some Fort Wayne small businesses chose to close for the day, stating that they felt it was necessary.

Some businesses that chose to close for the day include Good Bread, Fancy & Staple, Sassie Cakes and Hopscotch House.

Additional businesses shared that while they wanted to close for the day, costs did not allow it.
