WOWO Remembers Charlie The Weatherman

WOWO is sad to learn of the passing of Charlie “The Weatherman” Billiard at the age of 95.  He started at WOWO in 1956. Friday (08/30/13) would have been his 96th birthday. 

When Charlie started, he was the one of the first weather broadcasters in radio and the first official weatherman on WOWO.  His hiring, kicked off a long tradition of weather personalities on WOWO.  His quiet and soft spoken nature complimented the big personalities of WOWO.  

Outside of weather, Charlie taught English at South Side High School in Fort Wayne.  He continued as an educator after he moved near Atlanta, Georgia in Peachtree City.
