FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A man is dead following an early morning shooting on Fort Wayne’s southeast side.

Police responded just before 12:50 Saturday morning to the intersection of Eckart Street and Weisser Park Avenue, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound in the street.

Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the individual has not yet been released.

Detectives are continuing to investigate and say no suspects have been identified.
