FW City Council Approves Reallocation of Funds to FWFD

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The votes are in and Fort Wayne City Council has approved a reallocation of funds to the Fort Wayne Fire Department.

Just weeks ago, City Council was asked to approve moving a chunk of money to the Fort Wayne Fire Department that was reportedly miscalculated. The transfer of funds comes after leaders with the Fort Wayne Fire Department were seeking an additional $800,000 last year.

Council members voted 6-2 and have decided to move $400,000 from the Parks & Recreation to the FWFD.
