FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A house fire on Crescent Avenue just south of State has been controlled by Fort Wayne fire crews.

Just after 9:00 a.m., Monday morning firefighters arrived to smoke coming from the first floor of the home.  No one was in the house at the time of the blaze and investigators believe the owners were either at school or work. Two dogs were found alive and well, however, two cats died in the blaze.
