E.M.S. Paramedics: Farmer’s Son Potentially Saves Dad’s Life

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Claypool man is in a Fort Wayne hospital after his arm was amputated Monday afternoon in Kosciusko County.

 

Monday afternoon officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department got a call about a farm accident near 7710 South and County Road 300 East. Emergency crews responded around 1:18 p.m., and found that the property owner, 59-year-old Bill Linn has his left arm amputated from just above the elbow.

 

Linn was taken to a Fort Wayne, in critical condition.

 

 

Linn’s son ran over and immediately applied a tourniquet to his father’s arm, potentially saving his father’s life, according to Multi-Township E.M.S. paramedics.

 

As of Tuesday morning, Linn was still listed in critical condition.
