Man Arrested After Barricade Situation in Paulding County

GROVER HILL, Ohio (WOWO): A man was arrested after a barricade situation in Paulding County, Ohio. Thursday around 5:25 P.M., Paulding County Deputies were called to 151 in Grover Hill for a domestic situation. The woman who called said her husband, 56-year-old Daniel Nantz, had a gun and threatened her, and that she was locked in a room. Once on scene, deputies were able to get the woman from an upstairs window using a ladder.

The scene was then treated as a barricaded subject with a firearm, and additional Sheriff's Departments were called to the scene. After approximately 4 hours of attempting to make contact with Nantz, the man began communicating with law enforcement and agreed to surrender. He was taken into custody and charged with Domestic Violence.
