WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): A new stadium in Kokomo also means a new minor league team.

City leaders announced that Kokomo will host a team in the independent Prospect League beginning next spring.

The league also has teams in Richmond and Terre Haute.

Construction is currently underway for a 4,000-seat stadium.
