Minor Flooding Throughout Northeast Indiana

SYRACUSE, Ind. (WOWO): We are experiencing minor flooding through out the area.

There are a couple trouble spots. The Eel River in North Manchester is above flood stage. It's expected to cress early this evening. It could be Tuesday afternoon before it returns to banks.

A flood warning has been issued for Spy Run Creek in Fort Wayne.

Mike Rabine with the National Weather Service says for the most part in our area the threat of flooding is low.

“We are expecting light showers that should not produce significant amounts (of rain) so it looks like the threat of flooding has passed.”

You are reminded to never drive vehicles through flooded areas and never allow children to play in, or near flood waters. You are also encouraged to watch for clogged storm drains and be prepared to move personal property to high ground if waters become threatening.
