Four Children Unharmed On Southeast Side of Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Four children are unharmed after a house fire on the cities southeast side.

Late Monday night around 10:47 p.m., a fire was reported at a house on Oliver Street south of Pettit Avenue. All people inside the house made it out safely. Crews found fire blowing out of the rear windows of the house inside of a bedroom, and after an interior attack to make sure there was no one else in the home, they rescued the family cat and reunited it with the family.

The fire was under control in 8 minutes. Information from the Fort Wayne Fire Department indicates there were no adults in the home at the time of the fire, which is currently under investigation.
