FWCS Board Approves New Construction Project

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): New construction projects have been approved by Fort Wayne Community Schools.

The Journal Gazette reports two projects will be part of 10 major school renovations for Weisser Park Elementary and Jefferson Middle Schools. The improvements will cost more than $13 million as part of renovations included in a $119 million building referendum.

The 2012 referendum was used for projects at 36 of 51 district schools. The board also approved the purchase of a small residential lot near South Wayne Elementary School.
