Marlin Stutzman Announces Run for U.S. Senate

Marlin Stutzman greeting supporters at his U.S. Senate announcement – May 9, 2015

ROANOKE, Ind (WOWO): In front of a large crowd gathered on Main Street in Roakoke, the Howe Republican Congressman made the announcement that he will be running for retiring Senator Dan Coats' seat in 2016.

In the Senate he vowed to continue to be a fiscal conservative who will continue to fight against an increasing debt, the takeover of heathcare, and stopping big government abuse. The crowd also liked that he's going to be, well, a conservative.

Eric Holcomb is the only other announced Republican so far.

WOWO's Pat Miller was the MC for the event.
